First Removal Session...

Hey Everyone!

Im back with my words, on letting you all know how my first laser hair removal went... First of all i'd like to start off by saying how much i was dreading it :-/ i guess i was just nervous as i didn't know what to expect... It was quick! I mean as soon as my therapist took me in she gave me instructions on what i had to do and then she started with the treatment and it was over in about 10-15mins. I started off at the lowest shot, even though it was the lowest setting it didnt feel like it! It is true when people say its like a rubberband bouncing off the skin or even like little pinches... However, because it was so quick i questioned whether they were able to get every hair follicles?? As i didnt feel the shots in every area. I guess i'll have to wait and see what the results are like after a few sessions, and not expect miracles after the first session.

For now beauties i'll stop the rambling here...

Following up on the laser hair removal.....

Hey All,

Hope you are all well, i thought i'd post a quick blog on what happend after my laser hair removal consultation. Well, during the consultation i discussed what area of the body i was considering to have laser hair removal done, they then go through the treatment packs, i had a option for six treatments and then eight treatments. Because i have not had any laser hair removel done they advised me to consider having 8 treatments as this will have better results and surely they would be able to kill all the hair from the roots.

I then went into for a test patch done for safety reasons and they tested four different levels of laser shots, 1st shot didnt even feel, 2nd shot still felt nothing, 3rd shot felt a pinch and then the 4th shot felt like i was using a epilator (pulling at the roots). I personally think i am strong enough for level 3, level 4 would be way toooo painful! The test  patch only took about 30seconds and it was over and done. A sense of relief!!

So i've booked my first appointment in two weeks time, as i have to fit every appointment around my work timetable. Each appointment has a 6 week gap inbetween, so having 8 course done will probably finish by the end of next year...seems for ever when i put in those word!

Overall, i am looking forward to it, to see the results.

Laser Hair Removal...

Hey Beauties...

I haven't updated my blog in ages, just been busy with work and travelling. < My apologies before i start rambling :-)

So recently i have been looking into laser hair removal, because frankly i am tired of getting rid of unwanted hair and i hate putting a razor to my skin. Seeing that its winter and i will be covered up for the next couple of months i thought it would be the perfect time for me to look into laser hair removal.

I recieved an email the other night from one of the most well known skin clinics around... Sk:ns Clinic.
They carry out various treatments from skin problems (acne, scarrings, anti-winkle injections, botox, tatoo removel, facial thread removal, peels and so on...). They also do laser hair removal for practically all areas of the body. So when i saw that they prices have gone down by 25% since August 2011, it sounded much more affordable, for me anyway.

I've tried looking for reviews on laser hair removal for the bikini area but haven't found much :-( so i thought i would start a review with my experience from the very beginning.

I'l start by saying that i have my first consultation at the canary wharf Sk:n clinic the monday coming up. Im guessing from there i will get a better idea of what im letting my self in for.

After the consultation i have to get a test patch done and then the course will beginning.

Once i have been through the consultation i will keep you all updated on the progress and how the experience was for me.

For now i will stop rambling and leave you all....

Take care lovies!

M.A.C Peacocky is HERE!!!!

Hey Beauties!

My m.a.c order is here!....

I know the picture isn't so clear, i quickly took a picture with my iphone just before i was heading out. The colours are absolutely lovely!! I think i've selected the perfect colours for me. Well the thing is, i placed my order online, as you may see from the picture above. I hadn't seen any of the colours for real before placing the order, so i was quite specticle...but i have to say i'm pleasantly happy with my order. The kissable lipcolours are also quite nice shades, i haven't tried them on yet, just blogging away here at my workplace...ssshhhhh...hehe.... anyway i cant wait to get home to my box full of joy, lol. But...i have to admit something....i couldnt help regretting that i didnt get the mega metal shadow in 'Unflappable', soo...while i was on the net...i couldn't help popping onto the m.a.c's website and place an order for the mega metal shadow :-/ . NO MORE SHOPPING FOR ME!!! Lol.

January Favourites!

Hey Beauties!

I can't January flew by so quick! This month i have not been extremely experimental because i dont know why but i had quite a bad break out on my cheek recently :( things like that put me off from wearing make-up for layering too much mae-up on.

For skincare my favourites have been:
  • My Clarisonic Mia, which has helped exfoliate the dead skin the benzoyl peroxide has caused for the duration i have been applying it.
  • Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5%, which has helped dry my exisiting break outs and has caused the healing to be much quicker.
  • Origins White Tea cleanser, i've been using this with my mia, i feel as though its gentle enough to cleanse my face when i have break outs, it doesnt irritate my skin and helps it feeling fresh and clean.
  • Origins Modern Fricition Gentle Dermabrasion, i use this once a week to exfoliate just for a deep cleanse.
Make-up wise my favourites have been:
  • For Foundation i've been using my M.A.C Pro  Longwear NC20, i just find this foundation helps cover the acne scars and gives me the coverage i need at the moment.
  • For concealer i've been using my M.A.C Select cover in NW25, great for my under eye circles.
  • For eyeshadows, i've been keeping it neutral and have been using the Too Faced Natural eye kit to change up the eye look.
  • For blush i've been using M.A.C warm soul mineralized blush.
  • For lips i've been using Carmex lip balm and M.A.C Creme D Nude.
These are honestly the only products i have been reaching for this month. Simple and lazy make-up for me, lol.

Whats your favourites for this moth?

Lots of Love....

Upsetting Ramble :(

Hey Beauties!

Last night i had watched Wayne Goss's new 'worst product of the month', suprisingly i found out the Inglot, a polish makeup store, has risen the prices of the products. Heres a low down of what i remember from the last time i went to purchase something, the 10 pan freedom palette was £35, the 4 pan freedom palette was £18 (i think, dont quote me).

But it is confirmed that the 10 pan freedom palette has risen it price to £54!!!! That's an extra £19 on the price tag!!! What the hell???? I understand the tax has risen here in the U.K upto 20% but even saying that according to the tax rise it should have been near the cost to £43....

Can anyone explain why it has added £19 more to the price tag instead of £8???

Putting that to a side, they have introduced a 20 pan freedom palette costing £150??? Huh? If 10 eyeshadows cost £54 we should be multiplying that by 2 to get the price right? So that would be £108?? But no its £150?? Adding £42 extra to the price tag??

Inglot have some explaining to do because im utterly confused not mentioning how upset i am :(
I understand their products are outstanding and were at such a reasonable price hence probably why they were doing so well as a company. But what about their customers who were on budget and turned to them for extremely good products for a reasonable price?

I personally think that this has put me off from buying from Inglot :(

Sigma Brushes....

Hey Beauties!

As you all may know or may not know, Sigma has released their new line of make up brushes called the 'Make Me Up' now this kit is available in 4 shades and has a catered name for each colour brush set...

Retailing at $99

The Black kit is called...'Make Me Classy'

The Purple kit is called...'Make Me Crazy'

The Pink kit is called...'Make Me Blush'

The Aqua kit is called...'Make Me Cool'
Sigma have introduced this collection by stating The new Sigma Beauty 'Make Me Up' collection! The best selling professional 12 brush kit now comes in beautiful colors and inside a durable and multifunctional container! Besides protecting your brushes, this exclusive container transforms into 2 stylish brush holders!'

Each kit comes with 12 brushes which are, Small Angle - E65, Medium Angled Shading - E70 ,Large Shader - E60, Pencil - E30, Large Angled Contour - F40, Large Angled Contour - F40, Duo Fibre - F50, Foundation - F60, Concealer - F70, Tapered Blending - E40, Eye Shading - E55, and Eyeliner - E05

Overall, after seeing the release of this kit i was quite impressed, firstly by the creation of the kit, i really like the idea of the brushes coming in the brush holders. You are able to display the brushes infront of you in this sturdy looking brush holder and after using the brushes you are able to close the brushes in the same holder which has a lid, that way you know that you wont be returning to brushes which have been in open air and might have attracted dust from the air. Very nice. Secondly i am really liking the colours of each brush sets, it fun, youthful and can bring abit of colour to any dresser! Also looking at the value of this kit which is $99, you are saving $73 if you were to buy the brushes seperately. Great deal!

Main point here is that i have not tried these brushed out yet, but if i am able to get my hands on them, i surely will try them and report back to you.

This collection just caught my eye from the colour ranges and the idea of the packaging.

Chanel Spring Makeup collection 2011 – Les Perles de Chanel

Chanel has released the pictures and information for their Spring makeup collection for 2011, which is called Les Perles de Chanel.

Pearls and Chanel go hand-in-hand and Peter Phillips, the Global Creative Director of Chanel Makeup has used the glistening reflections of pearls as motivation to propose the fresh and radiant Les Perles de Chanel Spring 2011 Makeup Collection.
I constantly long for the Chanel makeup collections to release and it’s not any different this time round with the Les Perles de Chanel makeup collection! It’s truly a gorgeous mix of iridescent peachy, pink as well as green shades with a little bit of shimmering greeny black pearl thrown in – sooo beautiful!
The one thing I am really looking forward to is the Chanel Ombrés Perlées de Chanel eyeshadow compact. I absolutely love the colour and can see all the shades working so well together. With this compact in hand I don’t think I will need to reach out for any other shades of eye colour from my dresser!
So here are some pictures and all the information on this collection.
First up the Chanel Spring Makeup collection Les Perles de Chanel nail polishes, who many are awaiting for, I can surely say I’ll be picking up at least one shade if possible.

Chanel Spring Makeup Collection 2011 - Les Perles de Chanel nail polishes

There are 3 Le Vernis nail polishes in the Chanel Spring Makeup collection:
  • Chanel Le Vernis Pearl Drop nail polish: a pure and white in natural daylight that reveals golden reflections under evening light
  • Chanel Le Vernis Pêche Nacrée nail polish: a soft peach shade with a bronze effect
  • Chanel Le Vernis Black Pearl nail polish:  a pearly grey shimmering with deep blue and green reflections, like a black pearl from the Pacific
The Chanel Black Pearl nail polish looks stunning! It is the polish which the model is wearing on the Les Perles de Chanel look shot above. This may be the colour for me for this collection!
The Spring collection Chanel Les Perles de Chanel nail polish costs £17 and will be available from the 28th January 2011. It is now available on Selfridges website http://www.selfridges.com/
Next up, the most awaited by myself, are the eyeshadows from the Chanel Les Perles de Chanel Spring makeup collection…

Chanel Ombrés Perlées de Chanel eyeshadow compact.

Chanel Ombrés Perlées de Chanel eyeshadow compact: Chanel have changed the shape of their classic black eyeshadow compact to a rectangular shape to hold 5 beautiful iridescent eyeshadows for the Spring Les Perles de Chanel makeup collection.
The five eyeshadow shades are:
  • Blanc perlé
  • Rose porcelaine
  • Violine clair
  • Gris vert
  • Gris noir scintillant
I really need to have this! I did swatch the promotion release of this compact in westfieldthe other day, and have to say the pigmentation it create so it the textures. I can see these colours are going to be easy to blend and can see a sexy smokey eye with this compact.
The Spring Collection Ombres Perlées de Chanel eyeshadow compact costs £39 and will be available from the 28th January 2011. It is now available on Selfridges website http://www.selfridges.com/
Chanel Les 4 Ombres Regard Perlé eyeshadow quad from the Les Perles de Chanel Spring 2011 makeup collection.

Chanel Les 4 Ombres eyeshadow compact in Regard Perlé: this eyeshadow compact has 3 pale and pretty eyeshadows with a deep dark green eyeshadow for contrast.
I liked this quad but not more than the 5 eye shadow compact, it didn’t really wow me in any way…

It is now available on Selfridges website http://www.selfridges.com/

My First BLOG!

Hey Beauties!

I don't know exactly know what to write on my first blog??? I am actually lost for words...which is seriously not like me. Lol.

I think im going to start with my wishlist for the M.A.C Peacocky Collection, i know this may seem strange to some who are over in the US or in any other place where this collection has been released, but here in the UK this collection has not been released yet. I believe it will be released in the first week of Feb 2011.

Moving on...after reading many blogs and watching (god knows how many) youtube videos on this collection i had created my WISHLIST :)

So here goes....
From the Mega Metals Eyeshadows i want to swatch and see these colours before buying....
Dalliance, Prance, Centre Stage, Sexpectation, Odalusque, Ego, Spectale of yourself, Tweet Me and finally Dandizette.

I know, i know, it seems alot but like i said i will be going over to the M.A.C counters and will be swatching these colours before buying, so there maybe be a few shades i may not like as much.

From the kissable lip colours i have my eye on four particular shades which are Woo Me, Flaunting it, Scandelicious and Enchantee.

I will state that the previous m.a.c collections have not really 'wowed' me nor have they really interested me, so i have saved up for this particular collection :)

Let me know if you are anticipating on this collection, or any recommendations for any products from this collection x

Milly xoxo
